My brother in law, mother in law and one of my football team have all had strokes recently and I have seen the dramatic effects it has had on them, their families and friends. Strokes affect healthy people of any age and the effects are often lasting and life changing.
When a stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt.
